Supermarkets with gluten-free products in Tenerife –
It’s very easy to find gluten-free products in Tenerife, they are sold in all major supermarkets.
The gluten-free packaged products can be found in virtually all supermarkets (except LIDL which have very few). You can also find them in many health food stores and organic stores.
The following are the ones where I have been and where there is a big choice.

The gluten-free products in this supermarket are all into one specific aisle, plus some products in a specially marked area in refrigerators.
Address: Autopista Del Sur, Km 5,9, CC Santa Cruz Carrefour, 38111 Añaza, Santa Cruz de Tenerife
In this supermarket are all gathered in one aisle, where you can also find a fridge with frozen products.
Address: Gran Via, 38660 Playa de la Américas
This nice supermarket, very stocked with products of various nationalities, has a good section of gluten-free products. But being a supermarket in a very tourist area, near the sea, has fairly high prices than the island average.
Also in Hiperdino gluten-free products are all gathered in one aisle, except for frozen products that have a special fridge with the written “sin gluten” (gluten-free), alongside the other refrigerators.
In the Hiperdino supermarkets of all Spain, all product without gluten (fruit juices, yogurt, sauces, etc.), have a black label with white writing (products containing gluten have the white label). It’s very easy to recognize them at first sight, but as always it’s important to read well the label of each product.
In the Mercadona supermarket, the gluten-free products are close to the products with gluten in the same genre (cookies with cookies, bread with bread, etc.).
You can find gluten-free products also at the shopping mall El Corte Inglés in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
