Gluten-free croutons with spinach, cheese, and smoked bacon –
Easy croutons with a very delicate taste. If you use the frozen vegetable, they are also fast to prepare.
Preparation time 40 minutes (with frozen vegetables about 15 minutes)
Ingredients for 4 people:
125 g of Swiss chard
125 g of spinach
50 g of fontina cheese (soft cheese from Aosta Valley, with strong flavor and aroma)
50 g of smoked bacon
8 slices of gluten-free bread
salt and pepper
Clean and boil the Swiss chards and the spinaches.
Make the bacon to bits and brown it in frying pan. Remove the bacon and pass the vegetable in the pan with salt and pepper for about 2 minutes.
Put the slices of bread in a baking pan with above the vegetables, the cheese, and the bacon, and bake at 180°C for a few minutes, until the cheese is melted. Serve warm.
