Gluten-free apple tartlets –
These gluten-free small apple tarts are perfect for breakfast or snack for children … and why not also for adults 😉
Gluten-free apple tartlets
Preparation time 30 minutes (excluding the making of shortcrust pastry and custard cream)
Ingredients for 15 tartlets:
1 apple
2 tablespoons of sugar
lemon juice
Make the gluten-free custard cream and let it cool. For these tarts, you can half the quantity of custard.
Prepare the gluten-free shortcrust pastry and leave it to rest in the refrigerator.
Peel the apple and cut into slices. Squeeze over the apple slices a bit of lemon juice, a tablespoon of sugar and mix well.
Roll out the pastry to a height of 1 cm and cut with pastry cutters, creating the base and the edges of each tart, using two cutters of 2 size.
Make the tarts overlapping the base and the edge and pressing a little as they adhere well. In the center of each tart put the custard cream and 3 slices of apple. Sprinkle a little sugar on each tart.
Bake at 180°C for 15 minutes.
I’ve done some with custard cream only.
