Ginos Restaurant with gluten-free menu
I have been in the restaurant inside the “El Muelle” shopping center in Gran Canaria:
Address: Muelle de Santa Catalina, s/n (C.C. El Muelle) 35008 Las Palmas
The restaurant has a very simple and overall nice decor.
They have a specific menu for gluten-free dishes, where there isn’t much choice: a starter, 2 kinds of pasta, 2 pizzas, 2 desserts and gluten-free beer.
For starter, we got the cheese fondue with “piadina” bread. This appetizer passed with flying colors: the cheese fondue was delicious and even the bread was good.
Then we have two pizzas, one with gluten and one gluten-free.
The pizza wasn’t good, the base was a precooked crust, not bad, but quite tasteless, while the dressing was bad; the pizza with gluten, that took my husband, was inedible.
For dessert, we took the profiteroles (we wanted to taste both the desserts on the menu, but they only had this), not bad, but quite tasteless.
The bill for a starter, 2 pizzas, a dessert and 3 bottles of water was € 50.00 (including tip).
Having tried only one restaurant in this chain is difficult to give a general opinion, but the one in Gran Canaria is to be avoided, especially because the topping of the pizza was really low quality.
