El Limon Vegetariano with gluten-free options –
El Limon Vegetariano (The vegetarian lemon) is a delicious vegetarian restaurant in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife. Almost everything on the menu can be made gluten-free (even sandwiches and burgers).

Not far from the center of Puerto de la Cruz there is this very nice restaurant with vegetarian cuisine. They work in collaboration with the Association of celiac of Las Palmas: there is gluten-free bread and most of the ingredients are naturally gluten-free (the waitress tells you the few dishes that you can’t eat).
They have 2 types of gluten-free bread, one for sandwiches and one for the burgers. The bread for the burgers is wholemeal bread with seeds on the surface, very good, crunchy outside and soft inside.
We ordered brown rice with grilled vegetables, very good, and then two vegetable burger: the “Tropical” with pineapple, egg, tomato, and lettuce, and one with vegetable cheese, tomato, and lettuce. Both very good.
For dessert, they had a gluten-free coconut cake with chocolate chips. I don’t like coconut, but this cake had a very delicate taste and it was good.
To drink we had two really good virgin Mojitos, plus a bottle of still water. In total, including tip, we spent € 40.00.
